Welcome to Rancher’s Daughter

Hey there! I'm Kari Reents, a rancher’s daughter from Colorado. I’m also a wife, mom of two little boys, a former banker, and an entrepreneur. I love country living: big red barns, a good cup of coffee, days at the lake, a nice pair of cowboy boots, and conversations about who God is and who He wants us to be.

Reading and writing have been my passions since childhood, but in 2024, God called me to write a book. The call felt daunting, especially while balancing this chaotic season of life, but I began writing about my experiences on the ranch. The verses and the stories flowed together, and before long I had 40 devotionals to share with the world. The book is titled Grit & Grace: Daily Inspiration for the Hard-Working Woman and will be published in the spring of 2025.

To further fulfill the call to write, I developed this website to share short stories and articles on the parts of life that matter most to me. I hope you will enjoy and relate to the stories of growing up in agriculture—something I wish everyone had the chance to experience. I also hope you find value in the articles about entrepreneurship and finance.

Above all, I pray these writings will encourage you. If there’s one thing I know about hard-working people, it’s that there’s often not much room for grace, especially for ourselves. Let this be a regular reminder of how much God loves you and the grace and mercy He wants you to know.
