Entrepreneurial Spirit
In a lot of ways, Rancher’s Daughter is a new adventure for me. In even more ways, it’s another step on a long journey.
After college, I spent eleven years of my career in banking. When I left to be a stay-at-home mom and help my husband with his business, I was surprised to find old clients - mostly farmers, ranchers, and business owners - reaching out for help. They appreciated how I broke down the commercial financing process in terms they could understand. That’s when I realized I had unintentionally become an expert at translating and preparing financial documents for people who preferred to focus on the day-to-day operations of their businesses. So I decided to make that my day-to-day business.
In 2021, I started Creekside Analysis to provide guidance to entrepreneurs, with a focus on agribusiness. Since then, I’ve helped my husband launch his business, Sunrise Land Company, and started Creekside Capital, which helps Ag producers and entrepreneurs find financing. I’ve worked with businesses of all types and sizes, and now I’m diving into this new venture as a blogger and soon-to-be-published author.
I’m excited to share in this blog the thrill, pride, and yes, even the challenges—work, fear, headaches, and heartaches—that come with being your own boss. But take it from me—you’ve got this.
