Entrepreneurial Spirit
In a lot of ways, Rancher’s Daughter is a new adventure for me. In even more ways, it’s another step on a long journey.
After college, I spent the first part of my career in commercial banking, but when I left that field I found old clients - mostly business owners - reaching out because they liked the way I broke down the process of getting commercial financing in terms they could understand. I realized that I had accidentally become an expert in translating and preparing financial documents for people who would rather focus on the day to day of their business. So I decided to make that my day-to-day business.
I started Creekside Analysis in 2021 as a way to provide much needed advice to entrepreneurs, focusing on agribusiness. In the years since then, I have helped my husband start his OWN new business, Sunrise Land Company; I’ve started a second business helping entrepreneurs find financing called Creekside Capital; I’ve worked with dozens of companies of all shapes and sizes, and now I’m beginning this new venture as a blogger and soon to be published author.
I can’t wait to talk more in this blog about the thrill and sense of pride that comes from being your own boss - not to mention the work, fear, headaches and heartaches that will test you day in and day out. But take it from me - you’ve got this.
